Acceptable Use Policy

Effective November 15, 2026

This document takes effect on November 15, 2026.

Article 1 (Purpose and Scope)

  1. This Policy sets out the conduct prohibited when using the voice generation services provided by Out of Set Inc. (“Company”) through Airy, including text-to-speech and preset voices (“Services”).
  2. This Policy forms part of the Airy Terms of Service (“Terms of Service”) and the Service-Specific Terms, and applies to every means of accessing the Services, including the website, console, APIs, and SDKs.
  3. This Policy applies to inputs provided by Users (including text), outputs generated by the Services, and any use of outputs outside the Services.
  4. Where a User integrates the Services into its own application and makes them available to third parties (“End Users”), the User is responsible for ensuring that End Users comply with this Policy.
  5. The prohibitions in this Policy are examples and are not exhaustive. Attempting to engage in prohibited conduct is a violation of this Policy, whether or not the attempt succeeds.

Article 2 (Prohibited Voice Uses)

Users may not use the Services for, or create or disseminate outputs involving, any of the following:

  1. Fraud and impersonation

    • Calls or voice messages impersonating family members, acquaintances, financial institutions, law enforcement, government agencies, or others (voice phishing)
    • Creating or disseminating outputs that create the false impression that a statement was made by an actual person or organization
    • Any use intended to unlawfully obtain money, personal information, or authentication credentials
  2. Circumventing security or authentication: Circumventing or deceiving voice biometric authentication, speaker verification, or any other system that identifies individuals by voice

  3. Disinformation and elections

    • Creating deepfake audio of election candidates or others in a manner prohibited by the Public Official Election Act or other applicable law
    • Content that misleads voters about the date, time, place, or method of voting
    • Disseminating statements that a public figure or public official did not make as though they were true
    • Fabricating disaster or emergency alerts, or public announcements by government agencies
  4. Harassment, hate, and violence

    • Audio that threatens, harasses, or stalks a specific person
    • Audio that defames a specific person or company
    • Hateful or discriminatory content based on race, gender, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or similar characteristics
    • Content that incites violence or terrorism, or promotes extremist organizations
  5. Promoting dangerous activities

    • Content that promotes suicide or self-harm or provides instructions for it
    • Content that provides instructions for manufacturing, or illegally trading in, weapons, explosives, or narcotics
  6. Unwanted automated calls

    • Placing automated voice calls or bulk calls without the recipient’s consent (robocalls)
    • Sending advertising voice messages in violation of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection or other applicable law
  7. Infringement of rights: Infringing the copyright, trademark, right of portrait, or right of publicity of a third party, including by reading aloud scripts or books for which the User has not secured the necessary rights

  8. Privacy violations: Collecting or exposing another person’s personal information without consent (including doxxing), or including sensitive information such as health information in inputs without a lawful basis

  9. Misuse in high-risk domains: Using the Services for a service that provides medical, legal, or financial advice without the necessary qualifications

  10. Abuse of the Services: Technical prohibited conduct set out in the Service-Specific Terms, such as model extraction, filter circumvention, or watermark removal

  11. Other violations of law: Any other use that violates the laws of the Republic of Korea or of the country where the User is located

Article 3 (Prohibition of Sexual Content and Child Safety)

  1. Users may not use the Services to create sexually explicit audio. This includes:

    • Audio that depicts sexual acts or whose primary purpose is sexual arousal
    • Reading aloud or producing pornographic material, or audio intended for use in pornographic material
    • Integrating the Services into adult conversational services, such as sexual role-play
  2. Sexual content that refers to or depicts an actual person is prohibited regardless of whether that person has consented.

  3. A zero-tolerance policy applies to the following conduct involving minors. Where a violation is confirmed, the Company will immediately and permanently terminate the account and report the violation to the relevant authorities.

    • Any content that sexually depicts or suggests minors
    • Sexual content created using a voice that sounds like a minor
    • Content that could be used for sexually approaching or grooming minors
  4. Non-sexual information that is not intended for sexual arousal, such as sex education, medical or health information, and sexual violence prevention education, is not prohibited under Paragraph 1. The same applies to readings of literary works that contain no explicit depictions. Paragraph 3, however, applies in all contexts without exception.

  5. The same standards apply to applications into which a User has integrated the Services, and the User must take reasonable measures to prevent End Users from creating such content.

Article 4 (Disclosure of AI-Generated Content and Identifying Marks)

  1. Where an output could be mistaken for the voice or statement of a specific actual person, the User must inform listeners that the voice was generated by AI.
  2. Services that interact with End Users in real time, such as phone support or voice agents, must disclose that the voice is AI-generated at the start of the interaction. This does not apply where it is obvious from the context that the End User is interacting with AI, such as with a video game character.
  3. Where the Company has embedded a watermark, metadata, or other mark identifying an output as AI-generated, the User may not remove or alter it.
  4. Users must comply with any obligations under applicable law regarding the labeling of generative AI outputs.

Article 5 (Filtering and Monitoring)

  1. To prevent uses that violate this Policy, the Company may apply automated filters to input text and outputs, and may refuse to generate audio for requests that are likely to violate this Policy.
  2. The Company monitors usage patterns, such as abnormally high-volume generation or repeated filter blocks. Where a violation is suspected, the Company may review the relevant inputs and outputs to the extent permitted under the Privacy Policy.
  3. Filters cannot catch every violation. Passing a filter does not mean that a use complies with this Policy, and Users remain responsible for compliance.
  4. Any attempt to circumvent filters, such as rephrasing content or splitting requests, is itself a violation of this Policy.

Article 6 (Reporting)

  1. Anyone who discovers content or use that appears to violate this Policy may report it to help@airy.so. When reporting, please include, to the extent possible, the output or a link to it, how it was discovered, and your contact details.
  2. Reports involving the sexual exploitation of children or adolescents are handled with the highest priority and reported to the relevant authorities.
  3. The Company does not disclose a reporter’s identity to the person reported, except where required by law.

Article 7 (Enforcement and Appeals)

  1. Taking into account the nature and severity of a violation and whether it is repeated, the Company may take the following measures. For serious violations, the Company may take action immediately without going through earlier steps.

    • Warning and request for correction
    • Deletion of the relevant outputs, or restriction of features
    • Suspension of API keys or temporary suspension of the account
    • Permanent termination of the account
  2. Sexual content involving minors, fraud such as voice phishing, and sexual content involving an actual person are grounds for immediate account termination.

  3. The Company may, in accordance with applicable law, report serious violations to law enforcement and cooperate with investigations.

  4. Notice of any measure will be given in accordance with Article 7 of the Terms of Service. Where necessary to prevent urgent harm, notice may be given after the measure is taken.

  5. Where use is suspended or terminated due to a violation of this Policy, fees and credits are handled in accordance with the Airy API Refund Policy.

  6. A User who disagrees with a measure may file an appeal at help@airy.so within 30 days of receiving notice. The Company will review the appeal and notify the User of the outcome.

Article 8 (Amendment of this Policy)

The Company may amend this Policy in response to changes in technology, law, or emerging forms of misuse. Article 3 of the Terms of Service applies mutatis mutandis to the amendment procedure.
